This zip file contains 2 files: the extractor exe and a medications mapping csv file. Both files must be extracted to the local Zedmed Installation Directory (usually C:\Zedmed or C:\Patients).

Fixes in version 1.0.1.0

This version of the CAT extractor which fixes the following bugs:

• Immunisations – incorrect immunisation date
• Medications – some scripts were not being picked up
• Gardasil – incorrect dosage count
• Zedmed version incorrectly recorded in the extract

This version does not provide any new functionality.

Patient Provider Assignment

The patient provider is picked up from the Zedmed Patient Demographics screen > Usual Provider field. This field is currently not widely used by practices and feedback has been that this is not a useful way of filtering by provider. We had requested that Zedmed make a change to the CAT extractor so that where a Usual Provider was not selected the patient would be assigned to the provider seen most frequently in the last 18 months.
Zedmed have decided to use a different approach. Zedmed Version 14 provides a utility within Zedmed that allows the practice to populate the Usual Provider field for all patients. The practice is able to decide its own rules for assignment. The default setting is for a patient to be assigned to the provider seen most frequently in the last 18 months. Once this utility has been run the assigned providers will be picked up by the CAT extractor and the CAT Provider filter will be able to be used effectively.
