The COVID-19 vaccination report has two tabs, one showing the general population and the other the at risk population at your practice.

With the latest update to the recommendations for the Astra Zeneca vaccine our report will need to be filtered to exclude anyone younger than 60 years, regardless of their underlying medical conditions. Please use the general filter to filter for patients aged 60 and older:

General Tab

Currently we don't have any vaccination data in the report, so the only category is the 'not recorded'

In the 'General' tab all patients are shown in a doughnut chart with the following disaggregation:

Dose 2 received - second dose received

Dose 1 received - first dose received

Declined - currently only available in Medical Director

Not Recorded - no vaccination recorded

At Risk Tab

The 'At Risk' tab shows a bar chart with high risk and moderate risk patients. The risk is based on the following criteria as defined by the Department of Health:

While we have mapped a very large number of conditions to identify all at risk patients, due to time constraints and inconsistencies between the different clinical systems, some conditions were not included. These are:

  • Some chronic inflammatory conditions and treatments (no specifications given by the DoH)
  • poorly controlled blood pressure (due to CAT only extracting the most recent BP measurement and a lack of clarity in the available hypertension related diagnoses this was not mapped)

Please exercise your discretion as clinicians to ensure that all patients who are at risk are included in the vaccine allocation, as Pen CS can only provide a report that shows potentially at risk patients to the best of our ability.

Also note that the high/moderate risk criteria are not aligned with the roll-out schedule, as indigenous patients over 55 are not listed as high or moderate risk. To identify those patients for the 1b phase of the roll-out please use this recipe: COVID-19 Vaccine 1b: Identify Indigenous patients over 55

Once in phase 2a, these recipes will enable you to find remaining indigenous and other patients for that phase of the rollout:

COVID-19 Vaccine 2a: Identify Indigenous patients 18-54

COVID-19 Vaccine 2a: Identify patients aged 50-69 years
