Patients with chronic diseases are at high risk for Covid-19. This recipe will show you how to assess the numbers of these patients in your catchment

Patients with a current diagnosis of a chronic condition

Recipe Limitations:

 Not all chronic conditions are reported in PAT CAT

CAT Starting Point:

  1. PAT CAT Open
  2. Population Extract Loaded and Extract Pane "Hidden"



Filter Steps:


  • No filter steps required



Report Steps


  • Click on the 'Disease' report tab and select the 'Disease Prevalence' report




  • Click 'View Report'




The adjusted column in the report will show the numbers of patients in your catchment for each of the chronic conditions. You can also look at individual practices to identify practices with a higher than average count of patients with chronic conditions.
Other filters can be combined with this recipe if required, such as 'active patients' or other criteria.
