The Clinical Audit Tool encryption, de-identification and g-tagging process ensures that any patient data leaving a practice is kept secure and private, whilst also allowing aggregation and geospatial representation of this data.
The process may be summarised as follows:

  1. Data is collected from the clinical information system to create an encrypted extract file
  2. Data is de-identified via the FAT CAT process
  3. G-tags are assigned to the data
  4. Data is aggregated.
